THE NFC CLUB SHOW REPORTS

DIANNE TAYLOR

NORWEGIAN FOREST CAT CLUB SHOW 21.02.09

My thanks to Anne and Brian and the committee for inviting me to judge.  A lovely day, as usual a very well run show.  My thanks to my steward Emma Watts who is not only efficient but excellent company.

Ginger or Ginger and White Adult
!st MC Mrs S Talboys Orlando a very striking cat who is still an adolescent with a long body which he is still growing into.  He had a beautifully prepared coat which was shining and silky to the touch this complemented his wonderful tabby coat pattern.  A laid back boy who clearly knew he was stunning.

2 nd Mrs E Isaac Vandal a well built lad with wide expressive eyes and a very endearing bright pink nose.  He had white socks and a white bib.  He was a little tense out of his pen but was easy to handle.  His coat was quite coarse along the back so he didn't sparkle quite as much as the winner.

AC Kitten
!st Mr L Jones Weeble a large well built kitten who clearly loves his food.  He has the most expressive golden eyes.  His coat was in lovely condition with beautiful tabby markings.  He could take on the role of the Cheshire cat as he had a wonderful smile.  A gentle lad who was easy to handle.

2 nd Ms D Jarecki Spooks at just four months old a real little bundle.  At the moment he is a very pretty kitten but I am sure as he grows up he will turn into a handsome chap.  He has an unusual coat colour of black smoke which was soft and silky but still plenty of the fluffy kitten coat.  A very friendly, happy baby who I am sure will have a promising show career in front of him.

Veteran cat over 7 years
1 st Mrs J Plant Silver Sam definitely the Kosset carpet cat, a silver powder ball of coat beautifully prepared.  Such a friendly lad who talked his way to first place in good condition for his age.  This lad has plenty of personality and a presence about him, you can't pass him by.

2 nd Mrs E Isaac Chloe a very pretty lady with a close lying coat in very good condition for her age.  A little shy at first but happy to be held and cuddled.

Cat or Kitten with the most expressive eyes.
1 st Ms D Jarecki Remus he has huge round eyes which just draw you in with a striking blue/green colour. He has an overall gentle expression.
2 nd Mrs E Isaac Vandal
3 rd Miss K Overton Kovuu

2 nd Mrs J Plant Silver Sam
3 rd Mrs G Pidgley Samson a jet black shining coat like ebony in beautiful condition.  He was a little tense but a very handsome cat.

Any Other Colour
1 st Miss K Overton Kovuu a silky very soft well prepared coat.  He had plenty to say for himself.  He is still an adolescent and his long body will fill out with maturity.  Definitely a character.

AC Adult

2 nd Mrs E Isaac Chloe
3 rd Mrs S Vale Ellie Kim sparkling white cat, very attractive but much happier in the pen than outside.  She has a lovely coat which was well prepared.
