UK & Imperial Grand Titled Cats
UK Grand and Imperial Grand titles sit at the top tier of the GCCF’s titled cats. This section lists every Norwegian Forest Cat in the UK to have earned one of these major titles, with the most recent achievements at the top of each list.
UK Grand Titled Cats
The UK Grand title can only be achieved at the GCCF Supreme show, with two UK Grand certificates required from two different judges.

UK Imperial Grand Champion Hwallakun Mr Blue Sky
Bred by Miss D Nancarrow; owned by Miss Kiri E L Brown. Gained his UK title at the GCCF Supreme Show on 18th October 2025.

UK Imperial Grand Premier Nordlys Gazelle
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Don and Liz Coward. Ellie gained her UK title at the Supreme cat show, November 2010.

UK Grand Champion Drakborgens Miss Quickfix
Bred by Katarina Strahl; owned by Les Wheeler. Missy gained her UK Grand Champion title at the Supreme show, November 2008.

UK & Imperial Grand Premier Nordlys Giselle
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Liz and Don Coward. Leah gained her UK Grand Premier title at the Supreme show, November 2008.

UK Grand Premier Nordlys William
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Liz and Don Coward. William gained his UK Grand Premier title at the Supreme show, November 2007.

UK Grand Premier Nordlys Athanasias
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Liz and Don Coward. Athos gained his UK Grand Premier title at the Supreme show, November 2006.

UK Grand Champion Kyrrekatt Claire
Bred and owned by Eileen and Brian Hancock. Claire was the first UK Grand Champion in the breed, gaining her title at the Supreme show in 2001.

UK Grand Premier Klatringkatt Merlin
Bred and owned by Vanda Clunas. Merlin was the first male UK Grand Premier, gaining his title at the Supreme show in 2000.

UK Grand Premier Maysula Helenya
Bred by Roger and Doreen Dobson; owned by Shirley and Ivan Layzell. Maisie was the first female UK Grand titled cat, gaining her title at the Supreme show in 1999. She was also the very first Grand titled NFC in the breed, gained at the Somerset Cat Club show.
Imperial Grand Titled Cats
To gain Imperial Grand status a cat must hold five Imperial Grand Challenge or five Imperial Grand Premier certificates from five different judges.

Imperial Grand Champion Myschyfkitz Merida
Bred and owned by Miss Kiri E L Brown. Made up to Imperial Grand Champion at the Norwegian Forest Cat Club show on 21st February 2026.

Imperial Grand Champion Nandinakatts Valentina
Bred by Miss C de Dios & S Marlow; owned by Miss Kiri E L Brown. Made up to Imperial Grand Champion at the Long Hair, Semi-Long Hair & All Breed show on 28th September 2025.

Imperial Grand Champion Noynarock Mabel
Bred by Linda Grant; owned by Annie and Richard Rees. Mabel achieved her Imperial Grand Champion title at the NFCC show in February 2023.

Imperial Grand Premier Forestshadow Yogi
Bred by Darren Handy; owned by Jen and Kevin Digweed. Yogi achieved his Imperial Grand Premier title at the Maidstone & Medway show in December 2022.

Imperial Grand Champion Nandinakatts Lady Edith
Bred by Miss C de Dios & S Marlow; owned by Miss Kiri E L Brown. Made up to Imperial Grand Champion at the Norwegian Forest Cat Club show on 17th February 2018.

Imperial Grand Premier Svalrkattens West of the Moon
Bred by Mel Porter; owned by Liz and Don Coward. Gandalf gained his last Imperial certificate at the Black, Red Self & Tortoiseshell Cat Club show on 8th December 2012.

Imperial Grand Champion Adfurlo Aisling
Owned by Fiona and Ian Hermon. Aisling won her fifth Imperial certificate at the London Cat Show on 11th June 2011.

Imperial Grand Premier Nordlys Gazelle
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Liz and Don Coward. Ellie gained her Imperial title at the NSS 1st Championship show on 31st July 2010.

Imperial Grand Premier Nordlys Athanasias
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Liz and Don Coward. Athos gained his Imperial Grand Premier title at the Cumberland Cat Club show on 11th October 2008.

Imperial Grand Champion Coscathas Leo
Bred and owned by Mark and Karen Kestle. Leo gained his Imperial Grand Champion title at the Three Counties Cat Society show on 16th August 2008. Leo is the first entire male Norwegian Forest Cat to win this high accolade.

Imperial Grand Champion Dayjoy Titania
Bred by Joy Wakenshaw; owned by Margaret Lindgren. Poppet gained her Imperial Grand Champion title at the Nor’East of Scotland Cat Club show on 10th May 2008. Poppet is the first entire Norwegian Forest Cat to win this high accolade.

Imperial Grand Premier Nordlys Giselle
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Liz and Don Coward. Leah gained her Imperial title at the Chester & North Wales show on 11th August 2007.

Imperial Grand Premier Nordlys William
Bred by Carole Smith; owned by Liz and Don Coward. William gained his Imperial Grand Premier title at the Caledonian Long Hair show in October 2005.

Imperial Grand Premier Adfurlo Andante
Owned by Ian and Fiona Hermon. Andante was the first NFC kitten to take Best of Variety Kitten at the Supreme show in 2004 and went on to gain his Imperial Grand Premier title.
